Perpignan – La Jonquera
La Jonquera (Spanish: La Junquera) is a Spanish border town in Catalonia. It is situated just by the border with France, with the municipalty french town of Le Perthus.
The Approx Distance between Perpignan and La Jonquera is 18 miles or 28.96 KMS. Coach service available. There are not trains to Perpignan from La Jonquera at the moment however a new line to France is under construction at La Jonquera in Catalonia, with another proposed at Irun in the Basque Country.
Perpignan – Figueres
Figueres (Catalan pronunciation: [fi'?e??s], Catalan for fig trees, Spanish: Figueras) in the province of Girona, Catalonia and Perpignan has a direct an international high speed rail line between France and Spain. The line connects two cities on opposite sides of the border, Perpignan in Roussillon, France, and Figueres in Catalonia, Spain. It consists of a 44.4-kilometre (27.6 mi) line which crosses the French–Spanish border via the Perthus Tunnel, of which 24,6 km is in France and 19,8 km in Spain.
It opened on 19 December 2010 with a TGV service from Paris via Perpignan to Figueres–Vilafant, and regular freight traffic started on 21 December 2010.
Perpignan – Barcelona takes around 2 h 25, still a considerable time saver, but depending on the train you may still need to change platform at Figueres.
There are frequent buses throughout the day between Barcelona and Perpignan. The journey takes three hours and costs about 30 euros.
Buses from Barcelona to Perpignan depart from both Sants and Nord bus stations
Barcelona to Perpignan by Car is also possible if you donr mind to drive 200km drive, the trip takes about two hours, traveling mainly on the AP-7 and A9 roads.
