The Perpignan Airport is located in the town of Rivesaltes 6 kilometers/4 miles from the city of Perpignan. The airport is north of Perpignan off the A9 Autoroute (Motorway).
The airport is situated between junctions 41 and 42 of A9 Autoroute. If you are coming from the north, Toulouse, Narbonne or Montpellier use junction 41. If you are coming from the south, from Spain you can use junction 41. But the drawback with this is that you almost have to go through Perpignan to get to the airport. The airport is off the D900 road exit to the D117. After that you will approach the airport.
Here are two photos of the entrance/exit road at the airport.
Perpignan Airport is in the Pyrénées-Orientales (66) department and the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
There is daily shuttle service to the Perpignan train station. Shuttles are more or less synchronized to flights.
The official airport web site has a Shuttles and busses page. The price is listed as 4.50€.
The page doesn’t look to have been updated in some time!
There is also bus service to Baixas a village west of the airport. There is a bus stop across from the car hire car park. The stop has a timetable and route map.
There is also the possibility of taxi service. The cost per kilometer is 1.54€. Meaning a taxi ride to the centre of Perpignan is about 10€.
If you are looking for a good taxi company I suggest Taxi du Minervois who operate on request to & from airports and train stations of Carcassonne, Toulouse, Montpellier, Perpignan, Narbonne and Mazamet.
Holiday Taxis: Provides airport transfers by taxi, minibus, shuttle, coach and limousine.
